Identification
Beige-brown cap, paler margin; gills pale → clay; white droplets on the gill edge when damp; flesh with a radish smell. Grows near habitation: parks, edges, gardens.
Why it is dangerous
Gastrointestinal poisoning: vomiting, diarrhea within a few hours. One of the common "unknown little brown mushrooms" in park poisonings.
In practice
- Beige gilled mushroom + radish smell = discard.
- Small brown mushrooms are the hardest group to identify — when in doubt, do not take.
